Camping

I wanted to put a post up to remember some of the cute things Evan is doing right now, and to tell about our camping trip. We went camping last weekend. It stormed the first night, but othewise was very nice, we had a good time, roasting things on the fire, going for walks, playing on playground equipment....Evan loved the slide this time, and swimming. Evan has been drinking more out of a cup for us again lately 1 1/2-2oz/day for the last 3 days! He's also putting stuff in his mouth and sucking on it, and spitting it out agian. Sounds like nothing, BUT, anything in his mouth would have meant repeated vomiting not that long ago so it's a big step.

Funny stuff he's doing...some listed below, but he's also locked the dogs in the bathroom with his baby gate, and then proceeded to taunt them with giggling. He's started holding up one finger when you ask how old he is. He's playing so big, and patty cake again....don't know why, guess they're cool games again. He's figured out how to take on and off hats, and take off his pants, is holding his feet up for his socks to be put on. He saw someone whistle with their fingers on TV and has been holding his fingers and blowing ever since, trying to whistle....too cute in my opinion.

Evan's been having fun watching out the front door to see what's happening. When one of us is outside, he'll say HI, HI, HI through the screen.

What's happening Evan?

He had a lot of fun crawling around in the mud while camping.

Paggy Sue with her "ooh I see a bug" look from inside the screen tent.

Just a pretty Maggie pic

This is the tent we stayed in, borrowed it from a good friend Rolan....thanks Rolan, we had a great time!

We went swimming while we were camping....well, Evan went swimming, we supervised....forgot to pack our suits. He LOVES the water. We've set up a kiddie pool at the house since then, and he has a blast, likes sticking his feet in the water when we go for walks down to lake superior, and .....this is the best part....he was caught wadding and singing in Paggy Sue's water bowl yesterday, while stirring her dog food with the TV remote.....sounds like fun doesn't it!?

We LOVE water!

Evan liked the eagles nest display in the interpretive center. Look at the size of this walleye guys!

Here's a video of him swimming in the "lake" Man made pond really. The jets came on to fill it to the right level while we were there. Was nice and warm, clear, and shallow for Evan though.
